Your machines and servers, one click away.
DemVid runs the virtual machines you already have, right on Windows. ArDem keeps the terminal, the files, a code editor and a browser on one SSH connection. Both free.
DemVid
Opens the virtual machines you already have, as they are, and runs them fast.

Drop in a machine made with another program and it simply starts: disks, network card and settings are read and matched for you. Or install a new system from an ISO.
- Hardware accelerationUses Windows' own hypervisor: machines run at near-native speed.
- Its own local networkEvery machine keeps a fixed address that Windows reaches directly; share ports with your whole network.
- Snapshots, clones, exportFreeze a machine, copy it in a second, export its disks to any common format.
- Server modeMachines keep running with the window closed and can start together with Windows.
- Live performance and updatesProcessor, memory, disk and network charts; new versions install themselves.

Working on a server is not one activity: you read a log, find the file, change it, restart the service and check the result. ArDem opens one SSH session and shares it between everything you do.
- A fast terminalTabs, split panes, input synced across them, search, session recording.
- Two-pane file managerSFTP or FTP, drag and drop from Explorer, compare and synchronise folders.
- An editor on the serverWrites straight to the server; one omni bar for files, commands and symbols; diff against the live file.
- A browser tied to the sessionDocked next to the files, reaching your tunnels.
- Security firstAn encrypted vault (AES-256) that locks itself, host keys pinned, an audit log.
Questions
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is it safe?
The installers are new and not yet signed with a code-signing certificate, so SmartScreen does not know them yet. Press “More info”, then “Run anyway”. Every file is published only on this site’s GitHub page and scanned before release.
Are they really free?
Yes. Both are freeware by Dandem: free to use at home and at work. No accounts, no ads, nothing to subscribe to.
How do I get new versions?
DemVid looks for updates by itself and installs them when you restart it. For ArDem, download the new installer from this page and run it: your servers and the vault stay as they are.
Where do my machines, servers and passwords go?
Nowhere. Everything stays on your PC: virtual machines in a folder you choose, servers and the encrypted vault in your Windows profile. The apps only go online to fetch updates (DemVid) or to reach your own servers (ArDem).
What open-source parts do they use?
DemVid runs its machines with QEMU; ArDem builds on xterm.js, CodeMirror and ssh2. Licenses come with each app, and the source of QEMU and its firmware is attached to every DemVid release.
